OVERVIEW

The goal of this case is to create integrated strategies for growing sales for Global Mamas while also
furthering their mission of employing more “Mamas”. Global Mamas will be looking for innovative and relevant ideas that have the potential to Drive Sales and Increase Brand Awareness.
This is a project from Kelley school of business Business Presentation course: Client Pitch Case.
BACKGROUND
Global Mamas is a non-profit organization founded in 2003 by two returned Peace Corps volunteers and a group of Ghanaian women entrepreneurs skilled in batiking and sewing. It's mission is to create prosperity for African women and their families through handcrafted textile products of the highest quality. The organization is a member of both the Fair Trade Federation and the World Fair Trade Organization and its operations align with Fair Trade principles. Products include hand-batiked apparel, recycled glass bead jewelry, home and skin care items and are produced in Cape Coast, Akuse, and Krobo in Ghana. The US office in Minneapolis distributes products to customers and retailers in North America.
CHALLENGE
Global Mamas launched a new and improved website in August 2021 with the goal of increasing online sales, which doubled in 2020 from $46K to $96K despite the pandemic. The website has three main purposes: to serve as an online marketplace for customers and partners, to tell the story of Global Mamas, and to promote community outreach and fair-trade education.
The goal of the case is to drive more traffic towards the website and drives sales.

This was my first experience participating in a client pitch case in school, and I gained a deeper understanding of the power of influencer marketing and the use of emotional appeals. I was able to experience the process of creating a marketing proposal and improved my presentation skills. My team and I were proud to receive an A grade and were pleased with our performance. Our strong teamwork allowed us to support and learn from each other throughout the project. - 2021
