Taiwanese Student Association (TWSA) at Indiana University Bloomington is a non-profit, non-political student organization that focuses on enriching the college experience of anyone who shares common interest in Taiwanese culture.
Our mission is to bring Taiwanese people here at IUB together, and get people to know each other better by conducting events throughout the school year. Furthermore, we are dedicated to provide help and guidance for people at IUB. We have the vision that IUB Taiwanese Student Association will be more involved with different organizations and events in the future; introduce Taiwanese culture and embrace other different cultures at IUB.
BACKGROUND
Taiwanese Student Association is a student association that was formed decades ago but languished after the COVID-19 pandemic. The goal of this project is to rebuild a workflow system and create different services for the target students to make the association prosper again.

TAKEAWAY
As the Vice President during my freshman year, I took on the challenge of reviving TWSA. When I was elected, the student association was barely functioning. I didn't want the incoming members of the community to experience the same lack of resources and sense of belonging that I had. So, I did research on other associations and worked to provide better resources for my fellow students. The reborn of TWSA is a proud accomplishment, but there is still room for growth. I am confident that we will continue to provide a supportive community for Taiwanese students on IUB campus.
